Connected Travel Insurance (CTI) is Travel Insurance sold with a travel product. This website is a practical resource for companies such as Travel Agents, Tour Operators and Travel Insurance Intermediaries who currently sell or mediate Connected Travel Insurance and will therefore become regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on 1st January 2009.
The final rules for CTI Regulation were issued in June, and are much as expected by many observers, with few changes to the proposed rules issues by the FSA last year.
With just a few months to go until the start of regulation then most affected companies are well advanced in their preparations. The FSA is now accepting applications to be directly authorised, and plans for any operational changes required for companies to become compliant should also be well advanced.
